Sports Wrap: Lynx Take All At September 30 Rally

Faxon Farm was abuzz last night for the first-ever Lynx Rally in support of our fall athletes! The Lynx delivered a strong showing, winning all 3 match-ups at home. The tennis team is currently undefeated. The soccer team has yet to have a team score a goal against them. And field hockey secured a win in OT last night, giving them a 3–3 record. The cross country team was also in attendance, and they are maintaining a strong start to their season as well!

When asked about the respective seasons so far, Lincoln Athletics Director, Cindy Blodgett, offered up some words of encouragement and praise.

“All of our athletic teams this fall have great leadership from their captains. Our teams have been working hard to embody our TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) mantra. Each team has been competitive in every game regardless of results."

Yesterday was a highlight for many reasons; there was tremendous excitement at the farm that the athletes fed off of. They had a real home-field advantage with support from faculty, fellow students, and their families.

"Now, we’re coming up on the most exciting part of the season with playoffs and championships. Our student-athletes put in an enormous amount of time and energy that most people don’t see. For them to feel that level of support yesterday, and to see how it positively impacted their play—I am encouraging all family, friends, and everyone in the Lincoln community to come and support our teams at Faxon Farm or nearby schools.”
