Our Quaker Roots: Let Your Life Speak

Lower School examined Lincoln's roots through this art piece, a tree of life punctuated with famous Quaker quotes on the limbs. These values of peace, equity, and inclusion stem as far back as 1793, but still hold true today!

"There will never be a new world order until women are part of it." –Alice Paul, 1885–1977

"Deeds not words." –Alice Paul, 1885–1977

"A child, like all other human beings, has inalienable rights." –Lucretia Mott, 1793–1880

"We especially need imagination in science." –Maria Mitchell 1818-1889
