Lily Guo ’20 put her math skills to the test on three separate occasions this fall in the International Youth Math Challenge, and last month her impressive final results were announced. The senior received Bronze Honors, finishing in the top 15 percent of participants from all over the world.
The International Youth Math Challenge is an international mathematics competition that enables students in high school and college to prove their math skills and unleash their creativity. Students begin with the qualification round, an online test that consists of five math problems. Those that advance have one week to solve ten problems in the pre-final round, and the finalists tackle a 60 minute math exam to determine their final placements.
