Celebrating the Lynx! 2022 Athletic Awards

Students, coaches, faculty, staff, and parents gathered on May 27 to celebrate this year’s student-athletes and their many accomplishments. After a welcome from Director of Athletics Cindy Blodgett, and Head of School Sophie Lau, senior Maya Kelly spoke to those gathered about her time as a Lynx.

"It’s no surprise that like so many before me I’ve made amazing friends, accomplished personal goals, and made life-lasting memories on Lincoln fields, courts, and pools. But sometimes the scope of what Lincoln athletics has done for so many people here, myself included, still surprises me. In my time here, I’ve kind of been all over the place. I’ve played soccer, swam, rowed, played basketball, and even did online lacrosse? Just being able to just do all of those things is a gift in itself. I can’t think of another place where I could be comfortable enough to try brand new sports in high school while also being competitive in the ones I’ve played my whole life. "

Her words set the stage for the recognition of her fellow student-athletes, including those who were four-, eight-, or twelve-year letter winners, a true hallmark of dedication to sport and school.
