Announcing Historic $4.5 Million Gift to Lincoln School

We are so pleased to announce a historic $4.5 million gift, the third gift over the one-million-dollar mark secured in the last three years.

In 2016, Lincoln received a $2 million gift for the award-winning STEAM Hub for Girls, the only dedicated space for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Architecture, Math) learning for girls in Rhode Island. Less than a year later, Lincoln was gifted $1.5 million for financial aid deepening Lincoln’s ongoing commitment to need-based financial aid, with particular focus on our signature global programs to India and Cuba, where Lincoln girls learn both with and from other cultures, and represent Lincoln in the world.

Today’s $4.5 million gift will further strengthen Lincoln’s commitment to its innovative curriculum and best-in-class teaching, to further diversify its student body and make campus improvements.

Consistent with the priorities outlined in our recent master plan, I’m pleased to announce that $3 million has been dedicated to kick off a $5 million campaign earmarked for the growth and enhancement of our Little and Lower Schools. This fall marks the 25th anniversary of Lincoln’s Little School program, which offers boys and girls six weeks to 3 years old a unique path to discovery through a child-directed, Reggio Emilia-inspired approach.

We are in the early stages of planning this exciting project, slated to begin in December 2019, and will be updating you as our plans develop!
