This year, students in Grades 6 to 12 took National Language Exams in Latin, Spanish, and French. Lincoln students received 72 Gold, Silver, and Bronze student medals; 47 Honorable Mention recognitions; 17 Top 10 state rankings for French; 10 Top 3 state rankings for Spanish; and 3 special awards for excellence for French. American-French Genealogical Society (AFGS)- Excellence in the study of the French Language Award

 

Students of French participated in Le Grand Concours/National French Contest, the annual competition organized by the American Association of Teachers of French. Students of French in all 50 states and abroad take a written test and compete against students with a similar educational background for prizes. All Lincoln French language students in Grades 6 through 12 participated. Many achieved high scores. Among them, two Middle School students particularly stood out: Kenzie McKinley (6th grade) was the Private School Winner for Level 01, and Marlowe Mills-Myoda (7th grade) was the Private School Winner for Level 1. Each award comes with a $50 cash prize.
