CuriOdyssey
Acting Camp
Grades K - 5
Week of 6/13 and 6/27 | 9:00am - 3:00pm
Calling all thespians—join us at Lincoln's Acting Camp! Students will learn about the various aspects of the world of theater by taking part in improvisational games, learning vocal and physical techniques, scripted material, script writing, and the creation of sets, props, and costumes. Each week culminates in a different performance for family and friends on the final day!
Clay Creations
Grades 5 - 9
7/11, 7/12, 7/13, 7/21, 7/22 | 9:00am - 12:00pm
Do you love working with clay? Come to Lincoln this summer and learn clay handbuilding techniques or reinforce the handbuilding techniques students already know and use! All levels are welcome to come and explore how amazing the media of clay is. This 5 day class (spanning 2 weeks) will be focusing on each student's imagination as they will be creating functions pieces and clay creatures. Each clay piece will be designed and based on students' creative concepts, thoughts and ideas.
Cooking Around the World
Grades K - 4
Week of 7/11 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Do you love to cook? Want to know more recipes? In this unique cooking class for young kids, students learn all about food: how to make it, how to make it safely, and how to use it for good! You’ll learn about food safety, meet new friends, and cook some (oven-less) recipes from all 6 inhabited continents. Everything you cook will be easy to make including things such as “easy pizza”, Japanese Onigiri (rice balls), and other finger-foods from Africa, Asia, and South America. During sessions, you and your friends will play fun cooking games, learn about math through the process of measurement, and donate food you make to local charities in order to give back to others. At the end of class, you'll have a whole recipe book you can use to impress friends and family at home!
Girls Learning Workshop
Grades 1 - 5
Weeks of 6/21 and 6/27 | 9:00am - 12:00pm
Keep it fresh this summer with a one-of-a-kind, all-girls camp that will reinforce grade-level reading, writing, and math skills in a fun, hands-on way. Campers will play math games outdoors, observe nature to inspire writing, and go on learning scavenger hunts. At the end of each week, the girls will take home a compilation of their writing and a set of games that they can play at home to reinforce skills until the school year starts up again. Each week will contain different activities tailored to meet the camper’s academic needs, so join us for one or two weeks.

Gardens & Greens
Grades Pre-K - 1
Weeks of 7/5, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15, and 8/22 | 9:00am - 3:00pm
Discover nature through art, science activities, and short hikes around our beautiful campus on the East side of Providence and in Blackstone Park. Campers will become Eco Warriors by exploring baby animals, camouflage, plants, weather, and even music and engineering through the lens of nature! They will also have the chance to do a bit of gardening in our very own Early Childhood veggie and herb gardens located on Dwight House Lawn. In the afternoon campers will also be given a chance for water play, arts and crafts, reading, rest, and more after they return from their daily morning adventures.

Girls Mean Business
Junior CEOs
Grades 3 - 6
Week of 8/15 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
How cool would it be for you to be the boss at Apple or Nike for a day? In this leadership program, you can! Campers act as CEOs for leading companies and collaborate to make strategic recommendations to address real business issues. Case studies include popular companies and examine the role of female and minority CEOs. Campers enhance their problem solving skills, develop business savvy and cultivate a strategic mindset as future leaders.
My First Food Truck
Grades 3 - 5
Week of 6/27 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Campers select a food theme, choose an ideal location, identify target customers, design appealing menus, and form a comprehensive business plan covering strategy, marketing, operations and finance, including capital-raising needs. Activities include drafting mission statements, setting prices, estimating expenses and learning key financial metrics. This program offers a tasty way to develop business savvy!
Note: No food is handled at camp.
My First Lemonade Stand
Grades K - 2
Week of 6/27 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Let's sell lemonade! Young campers become "lemonade entrepreneurs" and learn how to make yummy lemonade and earn money selling it!
From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits to experimenting with recipes, campers have fun all week while developing business savvy.
Young Debaters
Grades K - 5
Week of 6/21 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Campers learn the art of persuasion and help select debate topics they find interesting. In a public forum debate format, campers work in groups and practice their debating skills in a supportive environment, including developing arguments, issuing rebuttals, providing examples, rebuilding their case and summarizing points of view. Campers learn to think on their feet and enhance their public-speaking skills, gaining self-confidence in the process.
Young Diplomats
Grades K - 2
Week of 8/15 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
This fun camp helps students develop a global mindset and build international awareness early in life, an important skill in today's increasingly interconnected world. Students explore cultural differences across countries, languages, currencies, country flags, geography games, famous landmarks, current global events, diplomacy and come up with solutions to global problems like hunger, poverty and pollution.

Coding

Have you ever wanted to make your own websites and apps? In this hands-on coding and tech club, you’ll learn the skills of a coder and the mindset of an entrepreneur through building apps - your own app and also an app for local nonprofits. You’ll build apps and games every week in the course and work on real iOS apps. Previous students have been covered in multiple local news outlets for apps they've built for homeless shelters, veterinarians, and local climate nonprofits!
Game Design

Ever wanted to build your own games or apps? Love Roblox or Minecraft? Well, this is the class for you! In this course, students will learn the skills of a coder through conceiving, designing, and creating their own mobile app games. The resulting games can be shared online and with friends for them to play on their mobile devices. It's a fun way to explore what it's like to be a game designer.

Interested in drawing, art, or design? In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to use your doodling skills for real, by doing design projects for local nonprofits or small businesses. You will learn how to make professional posters and art that people want to pay for, and you’ll ultimately design posters and ads for real organizations with good causes.

During the weeks of 8/1 through 8/15, students will rotate between engaging hands-on experiences of the different facets of STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math—each day in one of our newly renovated STEAMx labs. They will end their week with a well-rounded understanding of this unique way of thinking and learning. In addition, each week of camp will have a unique theme to guide the students’ experience and will culminate in a presentation on the Friday afternoon of each camp session to showcase all the incredible work they’ve done. Come to all three weeks to learn different methods of engaging in STEAMx each week!

Want to see what it's like to play sports as a Lincoln student? Come join our very own coaches and some of our Upper School student athletes, as they help you develop your skills and learn what it's like to be a part of the team. Students will gain confidence in their knowledge of the game, learn about fitness and have fun playing outside on our field at our Faxon Farm location. Healthy competition and cooperation in sports is not only beneficial to a student's physical development, but influences their academic life by teaching them how to set realistic goals, exercise discipline, and develop time management skills! Try combining a spring and fall sport to make a full day out of your camp experience during the week of 7/25!
