Camp Counselor

Camp counselors help organize and run the moving pieces of their camp under the guidance of instructors. These positions are great for students who are late high school to early college-aged and are interested in exploring a career path in education and/ or with young children. Acting Camp Counselor (2 openings)

Dates and Times

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm 
  • Weeks of 6/13 and 6/27

Essential Duties

  • Assist lead instructor with a group of up to 24 campers in grades K-5
  • Contribute to and participate in daily camp activities, check-in and check-out, set up and clean up, and snack and lunch supervision
  • Provide leadership and consistent positive energy for campers, constantly assessing the needs of individual campers
  • Maintain safe environments for all campers

Requirements

  • Genuine love and interest in working with children and/ or education
  • Interest in and knowledge of theater arts
  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and enthusiasm each day
  • Flexibility to meet changing needs and demands while balancing multiple tasks efficiently 
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow your skills
  • A great communicator with families and guardians 
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the start of camp to ensure staff and campers are as safe and healthy as possible and to comply with enhanced health and safety protocols  

Experience & Education 

  • High school or above
  • Preferred experience with the age group you will be working with
  • Experience working in a camp or enrichment program setting a plus

 

Cooking Camp Counselor (2 openings)

Dates and Times

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm 
  • Week of 7/11

  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and enthusiasm each day
  • Flexibility to meet changing needs and demands while balancing multiple tasks efficiently 
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow your skills
  • A great communicator with families and guardians

Gardens + Greens Camp Counselor

Dates and Times

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm (minus 4th of July)
  • Weeks of 7/5, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15, 8/22

Essential Duties

  • Assist instructors in a group with a maximum of 16 students ages 4 - 6
  • Contribute to and participate in daily camp activities, check-in and check-out, set up and clean up, and snack and lunch supervision
  • Provide leadership and consistent positive energy for campers, constantly assessing the needs of individual campers
  • Maintain safe environments for all campers

Requirements

  • Genuine love and interest in working with children and/or education
  • Interest in and knowledge of gardening, nature, and art is a plus
  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and enthusiasm each day
  • Flexibility to meet changing needs and demands while balancing multiple tasks efficiently 
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow your skills
  • A great communicator with families and guardians 
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the start of camp to ensure staff and campers are as safe and healthy as possible and to comply with enhanced health and safety protocols  
  • Age 17+ required

Experience & Education 

  • Must be a rising high school senior/ college-aged student or older
  • Preferred experience with the age group you will be working with
  • Experience working in a camp or enrichment program setting is a plus

 

STEAMx Camp Counselor (4 openings)

Dates and Times

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
  • Weeks of 8/1, 8/8, 8/15

Essential Duties

  • Transition your group of campers to their three rotations of STEAMx curriculum per day and provide assistance to instructors during their sessions
  • Contribute to and participate in daily camp activities, check-in and check-out, set up and clean up, and snack and lunch supervision
  • Provide leadership and consistent positive energy for campers, constantly assessing the needs of individual campers
  • Maintain safe environments for all campers

Requirements

  • Genuine love and interest in working with children and/or education
  • Interest in and knowledge of STEAM is a plus
  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy and enthusiasm each day
  • Flexibility to meet changing needs and demands while balancing multiple tasks efficiently 
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team, with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow your skills
  • A great communicator with families and guardians 
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the start of camp to ensure staff and campers are as safe and healthy as possible and to comply with enhanced health and safety protocols

  • Preferred experience with elementary and/ or middle school aged children
