Lincoln School is excited to announce continued local camp partnerships this summer! Whether attending our Girls Leadership Collaborative, Surf Camp, Racquets Academy or Camp Agawam, your children will have a summer to remember!

Girls Leadership Collaborative

Lincoln School surf camp with Warm Winds in Narragansett Rhode Island.

In this signature camp which begins with a high and low ropes course, this immersive experience includes developing mindsets and teachable skills to step up and lead. Facilitators utilize the Gallup Strengths Explorer tool, group challenges, and engaging activities designed to foster self- expression and productive risk-taking. Using brain-based, research-driven short micro-sessions, girls learn the neurobiology and drivers of decision-making, risk-taking, and blindspots.

Camp Agawam

Camp Agawam is all about embracing the great outdoors in one of Rhode Island’s best facilities!  Campers will have the chance to have some hands-on fun in Camp Agawam’s racquets facilities, golf course, pool, and lawn. With racquet skills sessions, putting contests, pool games, crafts and more, the campers will be able to enjoy every aspect the Club has to offer.

In the morning, campers rotate into different clinics led by Agawam’s professional golf and racquet staff. Our Racquets Professional Dustin Goldenberg will help campers learn and improve upon essential racquet skills in a format that mixes conditioning, drills, and games. Our racquet program includes tennis, squash, and pickleball, so each camper is sure to find a sport they like.

Over on the golf course, our PGA Certified Golf Professional Lou Rivers and his staff lead children on a number of games and lessons that teach everything from hand-eye coordination to traditional golf etiquette and rules. While the campers will be enjoying time on the course with our staff, if your child is interested in a more hands-on and golf-focused camp, the Racquets Academy Golf option camp might be better suited for your little athlete.

Between and after clinics, campers have the opportunity to enjoy the sun-soaked pool and other fun and creative activities led by our counselor team. From karaoke to beaded jewelry making, and wiffleball on the lawn, campers will be sure to enjoy every inch of the Club. Camp Agawam staff and counselors have the expertise and flexibility to tailor each week's program to campers' ages and interests.

Lunch is included in all camps at Agawam. Each day, campers get to choose a delicious meal that is served out of the Lunch Box cafe.

Racquets Academy

Agawam, in partner with Lincoln School, is pleased to announce the return of the incredibly popular Racquets Academy this summer! This focused opportunity will take place during the weeks of June 19th to August 21st. Racquets Academy is a high-energy camp designed to improve the skill level of each camper in a fun and exciting environment. The camp will be taught by experienced United States Professional Tennis Association-certified instructors and counselors who will provide tailored instruction to each camper throughout the week.

The main area of focus for improvement during each week of camp will be on stroke production. This means that the coaches will help each camper improve their forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads, serves, and as other specialty shots. Specific drills will be run by the coaches to help everyone gain control and consistency on each stroke. The coaches will also run exciting games and matchplay to help each camper get more comfortable playing points and keeping score in a match environment.

Unique to Agawam is the ability to hone tennis skills on three different surfaces: hard courts (indoors), clay courts (Har-Tru), and 10 grass courts! It is extremely rare to have a facility that can offer all three of these surfaces which will provide valuable experience to each camper to acclimate to each surface.

With the optional Golf Sports Academy option (selected at registration check-out), campers will split from the Racquets group on the mornings of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to head over to the golf practice area and 18-hole Donald Ross golf course. We teach the game's traditions, etiquette, rules, and technique. Campers will train on our putting green, two driving range areas, pitch, and putt area and have some time on our course.

At noon, campers will enjoy a balanced and healthy lunch prepared by Agawam’s chefs and enjoy a relaxing and refreshing pool break.
