Through Lincoln’s partnership with Marine Biological Laboratory, Upper School biology students head to the world-renowned research facility in Woods Hole and jump feet first into dynamic and hands-on scientific experiences.
World Class Scientific Research
The Marine Biological Laboratory course teachers are some of the most experienced researchers in their field. Students have the chance to work in MBL labs on complex scientific processes, such as dissecting vertebrate and invertebrate species, calibrating and using pico-liter injectors, and running a PCR on DNA from collected water samples, giving them a glimpse into world-class scientific research.
Our students have the opportunity to engage in cutting edge research and work with world class scientists. More importantly, they build their passion for science and ability to see themselves as scientists beyond the walls of Lincoln.
