Senator Jack Reed Visits Lincoln Lower School

United States Senator for Rhode Island, Jack Reed, recently visited the Lincoln Lower School to express his gratitude to the fifth graders for their fundraising efforts last year through their used book sale. The money raised from the book sale was donated to a childhood cancer research fund created in honor of a sibling of a current fifth grader. Before answering questions from the students (fourth graders were also in attendance), Senator Reed shared his deep belief in serving his country and giving back to the community, and he encouraged Lincoln students to continue to uncover ways to give back to their communities.
