Mock Trial Team Wins Round 1 Trial
Last week, Lincoln School's Mock Trial team had their first trial of the 2023-2024 season. Lincoln played the role of the defense for this first round. The trial took place at the Licht Courthouse on Benefit Street in Providence, with Judge Dan Procaccini presiding. This year's case is a complex murder trial. A real estate developer has been found deceased at one of his job sites. An employee from his firm has been charged with the crime. The first trial of the Mock Trial season is always challenging for players because they must process a vast amount of case material in a relatively short amount of time. The organization and focus of Lincoln's players enabled them to produce sound presentations at every step of the trial. The result was a Round 1 victory for Lincoln School!
