Lincoln School Mock Trial Team Secures Round One Victory

Lincoln School's Mock Trial Team competed last week in their first match of the 2025-2026 Rhode Island Senior Mock Trial Tournament which is administered through the Rhode Island Legal Education Partnership. This year's case addresses the criminal prosecution of a senior police detective who has been charged with the malicious extra-judicial murder of a notorious career criminal. In their Round One match students from Lincoln took on the role of the defense; students from Cumberland High School played the role of the prosecution. The Honorable Joseph McBurney served as presiding judge for the match. Lincoln's team showed up well-prepared with a strong plan for the defense. Our players were cool and professional as they laid out their case step by step. In the end Lincoln's team carried the day recording a crucial Round One victory.
