Lincoln School is proud to announce that Marney Cumming McCabe, Class of 1990, will serve as the 2025 Commencement Speaker. A distinguished financial services executive with more than two decades of industry experience, McCabe currently serves as Head of Relationship Management for Agency Lending at Fidelity Capital Markets, the institutional trading arm of Fidelity Investments.
At Fidelity, McCabe leads the agency lending relationship management strategy and is responsible for enhancing client experiences across a broad institutional base. Her career has been defined by leadership roles at some of the most respected names in finance, including Brown Brothers Harriman, where she co-headed the global securities lending business and developed customized lending solutions for top-tier asset managers.
A lifelong learner and trailblazer, McCabe began her career as a portfolio manager and equity research associate and even ventured into international wastepaper trading. Her versatility, grit, and drive have propelled her into senior leadership roles in a traditionally male-dominated field, and she continues to champion diversity and mentorship through her active involvement in Women in Securities Finance and the Financial Services Women’s Executive Alliance.
McCabe earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies with concentrations in Economics and Sociology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She currently lives in Charlestown, MA with her husband and 2 daughters.
A proud Lincoln School alumna, who served for years on the school’s Alumnae Board, McCabe credits her time at Lincoln with sparking the curiosity, confidence, and commitment to purpose that have fueled her remarkable professional journey. She will return to campus this spring to share her story with the Class of 2025—offering words of wisdom and encouragement as they prepare to make their own mark on the world.
“My experience at Lincoln went well beyond the strong academic and athletic program. It helped me understand the importance of female advocacy and empowerment. I am thrilled to be this year’s Commencement speaker! Having the opportunity to address the class of 2025 and their amazing accomplishments, as well as share the stories that have shaped my life, is such an honor,” McCabe added.
Sophie Glenn Lau '88, Head of School at Lincoln School, also expressed her excitement. “I am thrilled to welcome Marney Cumming McCabe, Class of 1990, back to Lincoln as our 2025 Commencement speaker,” said Sophie Glenn Lau, Head of School. “When Marney participated in a panel at Lincoln earlier this year, I was struck not only by her deep expertise in the world of finance, but by the powerful and purposeful way she spoke about women supporting women in that space. Her leadership, authenticity, and commitment to lifting others up are qualities that deeply resonate with our mission at Lincoln. Her inspiring message will be a terrific send off for the Class of 2025.”
