As the only girls' school based on Quaker values in the United States, Lincoln honors the value of each individual while centering the Quaker values of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship (SPICES).
CAFE Collective
Included in our Middle School Division, Grades 6-8
The CAFE Collective encompases the Middle School’s work on diversity, equity, inclusion, and community. Rooted in the Center’s three spheres of social justice (racial, environmental, and gender), the Collective provides middle school students the opportunity to address their own identity and work towards thoughtful community action.
Because CAFE addresses more than just culture, CAFE stands for Community Awareness for Everyone. Students will be able to meet monthly in their own MS Students of Color Affinity Group and Gender and Sexuality Alliance. Remaining meetings in the Collective will be focused on Environmental Stewardship with student driven initiatives and Quaker community education through our MS Quaker Club. In all groups, participation will be voluntary.
Members of CAFE will also meet with the Uppers School Clubs, 2B1, LEAG, GSA, and Lincoln Feminists to help plan and coordinate social justice program weeks for the Middle School.
