Welcome to Lincoln Athletics

“Here, we do not compete with the sole intention of gaining the best stats on the team or getting ourselves a blurb in the newspaper. While we appreciate these acknowledgements, we acknowledge the humbler aspects of sport. We value the inter-grade camaraderie that stems from the glory of victories and from the determination to persist after a disappointing defeat. We cherish the unique communication that teammates share, so distinct from the chatter heard in the hallways. And we prize the feeling that together we are becoming stronger, both physically and mentally. On that field, court, and racecourse, we together grow as young women”.
Kelsey Anderson Class of 2013

Athletic Philosophy
The goal of the athletic program at Lincoln School is to develop students' physical skills, enhance self-esteem, encourage team and individual accomplishments, and instill sportsmanship and the spirit of fair play. The school feels strongly that healthy competition and cooperation in sports not only benefits a girls' physical development, but influences her academic life by teaching her to set realistic goals, exercise discipline, and develop time management skills.

Athletes
At the beginning of every school year, prior to the first day of practice, each athlete must submit a current (within one calendar year) physical exam form from their doctor.  Athletes who do not have a current PE form on file prior to the start of practice, will not be allowed to participate until they have submitted the form. Please note:  A physical exam is current for one year from the exam date.  A new form must be submitted yearly, when the previous form expires.
