August 5, 2021

Dear Lincoln Families,

I hope you and your families are doing well and staying healthy! It is hard to believe it is August and school will start in just under a month. My name is Sarah Bouvier, and I am the new President of the LSPA. For those who don't know me, my daughter Avery is a Grade 4 student here at Lincoln, and I have served as a Class Rep for the last few years. I am very excited for my new role with the LSPA, and I look forward to the year ahead.

LSPA is an important part of life at Lincoln. I want to encourage everyone to become involved to enrich our community. The mission of LSPA is multifaceted:

  • Foster effective and positive communication among Lincoln School, its administration, its faculty, and parent body;
  • Enrich the quality of the student experience at Lincoln by encouraging the involvement of the parents in the school’s programs and activities;
  • Support parents in preparing their children for satisfying and productive lives;
  • Support parent engagement and participation in the Annual Fund and other fundraising priorities that build a stronger and more vibrant community for learning at Lincoln;
  • Provide a vehicle for the expression and resolution of concerns shared by parents or any group of parents; and
  • Foster a community in which education and a lifelong love of learning are celebrated.

If you are new to Lincoln this year, welcome! All Lincoln parents are automatically members of the LSPA, and you are invited to join us for all activities and events throughout the year. Beyond attending the great events at Lincoln, there are many ways to get involved through numerous volunteer opportunities.

We are currently looking for Parent Reps for a few classes as well as a Vice President and Little and Lower School Division Reps. Here is the current list of the Leadership Team and Class Reps and information about the LSPA and the roles of responsibilities of Division and Parent Reps. I encourage anyone interested in getting involved to reach out to me to discuss the available opportunities.

Also, I would like to invite you all to join us for coffee on the front lawn on the first day of school. A formal invitation will be sent out soon.

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Best,

Sarah Bouvier
