Early Childhood and Little School Hours

All classrooms open at 7:30 a.m.

Early Childhood dismissal begins at 3:05 p.m. at the wall in front of the Lower School.

For those students in Beech, Oak and Ginkgo attending a half-day program, dismissal is at 12:30 p.m. Children are to be picked up in front of the Lower School.

Please ensure your approved pick-up information is accurate in the Parent Portal, found in the 'Family Profile' section. For children riding a school bus home, a teacher escorts students to the bus stop and will wait until all children board their bus.

After–School Extended Day and Enrichment Programs

The after-school Extended Day program is available for Oak, Ginkgo, and Kindergarten students from 3:05–5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday at no additional charge. Full, partial, or drop-in options are available. We are unsure at this time how our Extended Day program will work for the fall and will send information as soon as we are able.

Lincoln also offers enrichment classes in three sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring) through our After-School Enrichment Program. These classes are designed to provide children with enjoyable experiences in a variety of areas, including music lessons, creative arts, sciences, languages, and athletics. Taught by Lincoln teachers and other experienced professionals, the courses are aimed at a variety of age and interest levels. After-School Enrichment Programs require separate enrollment and fees. Information about Enrichment programs will be available at a later date.

Silent Meeting

Each week, students in all divisions of Lincoln, from Little School through Upper School, attend a silent meeting, where they reflect and build community together in silence. The structure of these meetings varies by age group to ensure that students can experience and understand the practice in age-appropriate ways. For students and faculty alike, the silent meeting is a priceless opportunity to slow down, unplug, and be present in the midst of their full days.

  • Little School Silent Meeting is at 10 a.m. on Fridays in the Young Toddler classroom with a short period of silence followed by singing.
  • Early Childhood Silent Meeting (8:30 a.m. on Fridays) in the Lower School Library is a short period of silence followed by the celebration of community and individual worth. Silent Meetings take place in the Lower School library.
  • Parents are always invited to attend Silent Meeting with their child.
