Dear Grade 5–8 Athletes and Families,

Middle School fall athletics are on the horizon! We have much to do as we prepare for our athletes and teams to begin practicing and competing. Our Middle School program is designed to offer your child the experience of participating in sports, gaining in-depth knowledge, and competing in a supportive environment, while building a strong sense of teamwork.

For planning purposes, I have included an update for each sport and included a short list of “needs'' for each. All game and practice schedules will be available weekly in the portal. In addition, each coach will provide weekly emails to athletes and families about logistics for that particular week. We will try to contact families by 12 p.m. if practices/games need to be cancelled or rescheduled in order for families to adjust their pick-up schedules.

Be prepared to adhere to the ever-changing COVID-19 protocols in order to ensure safety for yourself and others. We will continue to provide updates as we near the start of school. We appreciate your partnership in this endeavor.

As a reminder, all students must have a current (yearly) physical examination and emergency authorization form on record with the school to be eligible to participate. Be sure to complete all forms and upload medical information into Magnus Health HERE as soon as possible. Also, you may upload your child’s COVID-19 vaccine information HERE. You may want to check out the free physicals offered to all fall athletes, if you haven’t done so already.

I hope you will encourage your child to be a part of Lincoln’s strong athletic tradition! If you have particular questions or concerns, please contact me by email or at 207-852-0014.

Sincerely,
