Cross Country Freshman State Meet and Soccer

Cross Country:
Congrats to Adde and Isabel on a great showing at yesterday's Freshman State Meet!  Both girls ran well and did an amazing job of representing Lincoln. Isabel ran her fastest pace per mile yet and ran the 4K course almost 3 minutes faster than she did at the beginning of the season. Adde also had an impressive showing on the 4K course and her pace was over a minute per mile faster than her first race this season. Congrats girls!  Go Lynx!

JV Soccer:
The JV Lynx had an exciting afternoon at the Wheeler Farm where they won 3-1 to improve their overall record to 5-2-3. With a team total of 9 shots on goal, Freshman Sophia Joy netted 2, squeezing one in to end the first half and on a breakaway mid the second half. Sophomore Katherine Sheridan notched her fifth goal of the season netting a shot in the bottom right corner. 

The JV soccer team has an overall great season of development and success, finishing with a record of 5-2-3. They had wins against Woonsocket, Shea, Davies-Career & Technical High School, Central Falls, and Wheeler School. They fell to only Paul Cuffee School by one, and East Providence by two. We locked scores with 3 teams which were Narragansett, Paul Cuffee, and Moses Brown School. The Lynx scored 22 total goals against their opponents this season, as the scoring was lead by Freshman Sophia-Joy Agbelese with 6 total goals and Sophomore Katherine Sheridan notching 5 overall. Other points this season from Freshmen were Arya Patel, Petra Robert, and Chelsea Tate scoring a combined 5 goals, as well as Sophomore Dounya Bilal with 2, and Junior Mimi Girach with one goal.
