NYC Event Series

The goal of the New York City Alumnae Event Series, which is the brainchild of a group of intergenerational, New York-based Lincoln alumnae, is to offer unusual opportunities for alumnae of all ages to meet each other, discover their professional and personal connections, and bond over their shared Rhode Island/Lincoln School roots. Join us!

Event #1: Book Group Discussion of Peggy Ornstein's Girls and Sex

In October, alumnae gathered for wine and a discussion of this fascinating read, selected by Lincoln's Head of School Suzanne Fogarty, who joined in on the book chat.

Event #2: Private Screening of TOWER and Q&A with Meredith Vieira '71

Join fellow alumnae for a private screening of TOWER, followed by a Q&A with Meredith Vieira '71, an executive producer of the film.

Combining archival footage with rotoscopic animation in a dynamic, never-before-seen way, TOWER reveals the action-packed untold stories of the witnesses, heroes and survivors of America’s first mass school shooting, when the worst in one man brought out the best in so many others.

Event #3: Tour of David Bowie is

Cost: $20 per person | limited to 12 guests

Gather with fellow alumnae for a tour of the David Bowie is exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum, which will be kicked off with a private introduction by a museum curator.

Organized with unprecedented access to David Bowie’s personal archive, this exhibition explores the creative process of an artist whose sustained reinventions, innovative collaborations, and bold characterizations revolutionized the way we see music, inspiring people to shape their own identities while challenging social traditions. David Bowie is has been touring globally for the past five years and is taking its final bow at the Brooklyn Museum.

Following the tour, interested alumnae may gather in the Museum Cafe to enjoy a drink and catch up with one another. Please sign up for this portion of the evening when registering, so we secure a space to fit everyone.
