Lincoln School welcomes applications from academically motivated and intellectually curious girls for Kindergarten through Grade 11, and from girls and boys from 6 weeks old through Pre-Kindergarten. For more information, please refer to our Gender Admission Guidelines.

The Admission Committee carefully considers a candidate’s academic ability and potential, extracurricular involvement and talents, and interest to contribute meaningfully to our community.

Little School (6 weeks-3 years)

Lincoln's co-educational Little School division includes classrooms for children 6 weeks to 3 years old. We offer full- or half-day options as well as full- or partial-week spots.

3. Schedule a Tour

Lower School (3 years-Grade 5)

The Lower School welcomes applications from boys and girls for Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten and for girls from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Below are the steps to complete Lincoln’s Lower School application process.

2. Apply for Admission
Complete the application online with a non-refundable application fee of $60.

3. Schedule a Conversation with the Admission Team
We look forward to learning more about you! Please contact the Admission Office at admission@lincolnschool.org or 401.331.9696 x3157 so that we can schedule a time for a conversation and tour or visit day.

4. Submit a Transcript Release Form
A parent or guardian must sign and submit a transcript release form to the applicant’s current school. The applicant’s transcript is mandatory for review.

5. Submit a Teacher Recommendation
A recommendation from the candidate’s current teacher is required. Please submit the Nursery through Grade 1 form or the Grade 2 through 5 form to your child’s current teacher.

6. Apply for Financial Assistance (Optional)
Families interested in being considered for need-based financial assistance should complete the CLARITY Financial Aid Application. More information on Lincoln's Financial Aid Program can be found here.

Please note that the Priority Financial Aid Application Deadline is December 31, 2024. Any application completed after December 31, 2024 will be considered for financial assistance only as funds remain available.

Middle & Upper Schools (Grade 6-12)

The Middle and Upper Schools welcome applications from girls for Grades 6 to 11. Below are the steps to complete Lincoln’s Middle and Upper Schools application process.

1. Inquire Online
This is the first step of the admission process. Click HERE to begin.

2. Apply for Admission
Complete the application online with a non-refundable application fee of $60. The First Round Application Deadline is February 1, 2025.

4. Complete the Short Response Form and Writing Sample
There is no right or wrong answer here, however we ask each applicant to have fun and be creative in completing this form. Additionally, a writing sample is required. Please find the writing sample prompts in the applicant portal.

5. Submit a Transcript Release Form
A parent or guardian must sign and submit a transcript release form to the applicant's current school. The applicant’s transcript for the past 2.5 years is mandatory for review.

6. Submit Teacher Recommendation
Recommendations from the candidate’s current English and Math teachers are required.

7. Submit Standardized Testing Scores (Optional)
Test scores from either the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test, www.ssat.org) or the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam, www.iseetest.org) are optional.

8. Apply for Financial Assistance (Optional)
Families interested in being considered for need-based financial assistance should complete the CLARITY Financial Aid Application. More information on Lincoln's Financial Aid Program can be found here.

Applying as an International Student

Lincoln School welcomes international applications from high-school-aged girls requiring an I-20 to study in the United States. Lincoln is a top choice for international students looking for a rigorous and experiential high school experience, one that will enhance opportunities beyond graduation.

Although Lincoln School is not a boarding school, Lincoln’s partner, Apex International Education Partners, works with each prospective student’s family to coordinate home stays during their academic experience at Lincoln. International students may also secure their own local housing and transportation. Lincoln School cannot coordinate living arrangements with host families. Applicants will be asked to provide the following information:

Application for admission
Official school transcript from current school
TOEFL Test Score Report
Teacher recommendations from current English and Mathematics teachers
Virtual or in-person interview with Lincoln Admission Office
Copy of passport
Verification of funding to cover full annual tuition and fees
A non-refundable application fee of $60

Following the admission deadline, the Admission Committee will review completed applications. If an international student is admitted to Lincoln School, an official acceptance letter and enrollment contract will be provided via email. Once the enrollment contract is signed and the required deposit is paid, an I-20 form will be created and mailed to the student. Proof of health insurance is required upon enrollment.
