Upper School

Your Path. Your Voice. Your Impact.

Intellectual engagement, character development, and community are at the heart of your learning in the Upper School at Lincoln. Within a rigorous and globally oriented academic program, you immerse yourself in a wide range of courses—both on campus and through partnerships across the Greater Providence area and around the world.

You might collaborate with peers to troubleshoot a student-designed robot, recite a Shakespeare monologue on stage, analyze a nuanced passage in a novel, or fabricate a metal sculpture at the Providence Steel Yard. Through these experiences, you learn that no field is out of your reach and no challenge is too big to tackle.

You shape your own academic path based on your interests and passions, grounded in a strong core curriculum. Small classes mean you are known and supported by your teachers, while learning in an engaging, collaborative environment. Over four years, you grow into a confident thinker and doer—prepared for top colleges and ready to make an impact.

Meet Courtney West, Upper School Director

We believe that by giving students the agency and skills to discuss challenging topics from a variety of perspectives, we actively support our students to grow into academically curious, life-long learners who understand that their voices have an impact on the world around them."
