Grades 3-5

Reflecting interests and broadening experiences.

As students progress through Lower School, our curriculum is designed to both reflect their individual interests and broaden their experiences. As they ask questions and seek answers, they are challenged and supported, key components to building a strong foundation as life-long learners.

In Grade 3, students build on core classes experienced in  Kindergarten–Grade 2, adding an exploration block where students enjoy a half  year of chorus and additional exploration options. Some past explorations have included a book making class, game making, and Surprise Surprise where guest facilitators from our community come to teach a surprise class in something they are passionate about.

Starting in Grade 4, students take Performing Arts, a combination of Music and Theater, during which they take their performance skills to the next level with fun theater games and expanded focus on the Kalimba.
