Our libraries are inviting spaces for the Lincoln community to gather, learn, reflect, and explore. The library team is uniquely qualified to contribute to Lincoln's educational initiatives as teachers, instructional partners, and information curators, developing programs and collections designed to stimulate inquiry and creativity at all levels.
Strong libraries are essential to successful learning communities. We teach students valuable information skills so they become well rounded, capable thinkers and doers. Our libraries provide students with equitable access to resources, ensuring everyone is supported and can explore the world around them.

Elmwood E. Leonard Library
Middle and Upper School
The Elwood E. Leonard Library is a dynamic hub for inquiry and connection, serving students in grades 6–12 and the Independent Study Program with extensive print and digital collections. In partnership with faculty, Lincoln’s expert librarians provide instruction that strengthens information literacy skills, empowering students to find, evaluate, and use information with confidence and integrity. From supporting Middle School students as they build foundational research skills to guiding Upper School students through sophisticated, discipline-specific projects, the library helps learners become independent, thoughtful, and ethical consumers and creators of information, fully prepared to navigate an increasingly complex information landscape.

Lower, Little and Early Childhood
The Lower School Library is a place of joyful discovery at the heart of the academic program. The library curriculum fosters cultural awareness, empathy, and a lifelong love of reading. Students in Nursery through Grade 5 attend weekly library classes to engage with diverse stories and practice valuable research skills with support from the Lower School Librarian. Students are encouraged to celebrate literature by sharing book recommendations with friends and participating in beloved library traditions such as Book Character Day, Rooster Games, Battle of the Books, and Mock Caldecott Awards. The program inspires creativity and critical thinking through hands-on projects that invite students to analyze literature and illustrations, design book trailers, and produce podcasts celebrating their favorite stories and characters. The Lower School Library is a lively place of learning.
