As the only girls' school based on Quaker values in the United States, Lincoln honors the value of each individual while centering the Quaker values of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship (SPICES).

Our Academic Divisions: 6 Weeks to Grade 12

You want the world for your children. We want to teach your children about the world—how to experience it, navigate it, question it, and lead it. Lincoln School proudly serves coed students from six weeks to Pre-Kindergarten and girls from Kindergarten through twelve grade.

From the youngest students to the graduating seniors, students at Lincoln School have an edge. The girls' advantage sets them up with a foundation of self-confidence that can lead to a lifetime of success. Rooted in Quaker values, we know that difference is a strength, confidence can be cultivated, and community is at the core of all we do. Here, education is an active process and experience is prized as one of life’s greatest teachers.

Little School: 6 weeks - 3 years

Little School lays the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning. Our Reggio-Emilia-inspired curriculum focuses on individuality and curiosity, giving children the chance to explore their worlds and express themselves.

The environment is playful, cheerful, thoughtful, and sparks a unique kind of joy. Learning spaces include large, bright common areas full of natural elements. Guided by Quaker tenets, we focus on materials that reflect the beauty of nature and invite little ones to engage at their own pace. Parents and extended family members are wholly included in this greater learning model; connection is at the heart of everything we do. It is the child’s relationship with parents, teachers, and the environment that ignites and shapes all we share together. Little School is where children explore the world to uncover the possibilities within it.

Lower School: 3 years - Grade 5

When was the last time you stopped to wonder about the world around you? In Lower School, it happens every day. Curiosity and connection are the cornerstones of the curriculum. Our students learn to challenge what they know and who they are—constantly experiencing, questioning, answering, leading, and reflecting. The Lower School welcomes applications from boys and girls for Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten and for girls from Kindergarten to Grade 5.

Kindergarten marks the beginning of a girls’ education at Lincoln and is a time when confidence and strength come into clearer focus—girls are every leading role, raised hand, and rising star. Here, your daughter is known, while enjoying the extraordinary opportunity to freely explore the unknown. Starting in Kindergarten and through Grade 5, academic rigor at the elementary level is extended to include STEAMx, social studies, and world languages, and exploring the great outdoors through a scientific lens with our Save the Bay partnership.

The Quaker values of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship (SPICES) continue as a key component of the Lincoln’s experience, and in Lower School, students engage in Quaker Studies and participate in Silent Meeting, a unique chance to reflect and build community together in silence. Lower School is where girls wonder about the world to determine their place within it.

Middle School: Grades 6-8

At Lincoln we get Middle School. Here, this isn’t an in-between division—it’s an opportunity to make the most of a critical stage of development. From sixth through eighth grades, we make sure girls are seen, supported, and encouraged to be their full, quirky, smart, and awesome selves.

Whatever their strengths, challenges, quirks, sensitivities, or sparks, at Lincoln, girls are known. Our one-of-a-kind environment means students feel confident and comfortable trying new things, thinking bigger than they believed possible, and unapologetically leaning into what makes them them. We value experimentation over expectations. We believe students grow most by doing, not by being told what to do. We know the real f-word—failure—is part of the learning process. That ethos is explored in our Innovation Nation Design Thinking partnership with Bryant University, a groundbreaking program that encourages students to fail early to succeed sooner.

Whether it’s in our state-of-the-art STEAM Hub, or through visual arts, dramatic arts, robotics, chorus, and more, at Lincoln, your daughter will continue to develop truly who she is. Middle School is where girls inquire about the world to become their best selves within it.

Upper School: Grades 9-12

Every Lincoln student is empowered to carve her own path. Within our rigorous high school academic program, students immerse themselves in lessons of intellect, community, and character. They are challenged to not only learn about history, current events, and the foreseeable future, but to envision their role in shaping the future.

Intentionally small class sizes mean students are supported as individuals. Who they are shares importance with what they study. Core high school classes in English, History, Math, World Languages, and Sciences, coincide with local and global explorations on campus, statewide, and globally. STEAMx takes center stage in Upper School within our state-of-the-art lab, partnerships with Brown University Engineering, Steel Yard, Style Week, and University Orthopedics. Students can also take the reins of environmental and intercultural impact with Marine Biological Laboratory and the World Leadership School.

With a 100% college acceptance rate to 4-year colleges and universities, many at top tier institutions, Lincoln students leave campus with a honed understanding of what it means to learn. But they also graduate with a deep knowledge of what it means to lead. Upper School is where students prepare to have an impact on the world and discover how to shape it.
