Class Descriptions
Book Making (Exploring Books as Works of Art): In this class, children will use several different simple bookbinding methods and a variety of art supplies, including recycled materials, to make illustrated stories and blank books. They will make accordion books, scrolls, ribbon-bound journals, cloth-bound books and more!
Ceramics: In this class, students will experiment with clay, hand-building techniques and glazes to build ceramic dishes and sculpture.
Cooking Across Cultures: Young chefs will blast off on an out of this world adventure and will take their taste buds on a world-wide tour. The instructor will teach children basic cooking skills as well as introduce a different country and culture each week
Just Desserts: Young chefs will decorate desserts that are easy on the eyes and even easier on the taste buds! The last class will culminate in a friendly cooking competition!
Hip Hop: Children in this class will enjoy hip-hopping, dancing and getting into the groove!
