A Decisive Decision to Acquit
On Thursday, February 2, the Lincoln School Mock Trial Club competed in the third round of the RI Senior Mock Trial Tournament. Students from Lincoln played the role of defense; students from Rocky Hill School took on the role of the prosecution. Judge Daniel A. Procaccini presided. Lincoln's Mock Trialers had prepared extensively for this day, and their finely-honed presentation resulted in a decisive decision to acquit. With this win Lincoln's Mock Trial Club concludes the regular season of the Senior Mock Trial Tournament with a record of one loss and two wins. This record may prove to be enough to earn Lincoln School a promotion to the playoff round of the tournament which commences in April. Stay tuned for more action from Lincoln's future lawyers!
