Lincoln's Alumnae are a group of energetic and capable women,
all Lincoln enthusiasts! And there are
so many things that deserve our enthusiastic notice. It's been a busy, productive, and successful
year for the School. Be sure to check
the School's Alumnae News & Events as well as Lincoln's Community News for current happenings, students' activities, and special
initiatives.
I hope you will find a chance
to catch up with each other by connecting on Lincoln's Online Alumnae Community and coming back for Alumnae & Reunion Weekend 2010. It will be the perfect opportunity to see classmates and hear from our extraordinary Head of School, Julia Russell Eells, who has set a new standard in
leadership with her engaging and creative style.
In 2007 we previewed Our Best Selves Lincoln's
Strategic Plan, which outlines ambitious and important goals for the Lincoln
School community. Of considerable note in 2008 was the first physical evidence of Our Best Selves, the new athletic playing surface at Faxon
Farm. The field is a tribute to careful planning, hard work, and generous support. Lincoln received considerable positive press
about this improvement - and our team won its first game on the synthetic turf
field!
Many committees are working hard on the goals listed in the
Plan with an eye to keep Lincoln as a top-of-the-line independent school for
girls in the 21st century. The challenges are significant, and the rewards are heartwarming.
I hope you will visit Lincoln's website often to find out what's going on at the School. We want and need you to continue to be a part of our traditions and to help shape our future. This means staying in touch with each other, sending us news of your life, making a gift to the Annual Fund, and getting involved with our many events including Alumnae & Reunion Weekend. Thank you all for being part of this important
community.
Sincerely yours,
