Affording Lincoln

A Lincoln School education is an investment in your daughter's future. This investment will provide endless opportunities and expand her world of knowledge.

Lincoln is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for each student. We enroll students from all socioeconomic backgrounds and we celebrate the diversity of each person at Lincoln. We offer financial assistance in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.

Financial Aid Policy

Lincoln School encourages any student enrolled or applying for admission to apply for financial aid. Financial Aid is awarded to families based on their financial need and Lincoln's available funds.  Lincoln School does not discriminate on the basis of color, religion, national or ethnic origin.  We ask that families understand that due to limited resources we may not always be able to offer a grant.

All awards are determined by the Financial Aid Committee.  Each year families must fill out financial aid forms.  The Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) can be submitted online to School and Student Services (sss.nais.org).

If a family has children at other independent schools or colleges, they must apply for aid at those schools as well.

In case of divorce or separation, the parent with whom the child resides must file the PFS. Lincoln School will request financial documents from the other parent. If either parent refuses to submit requested information, the family may not be eligible for aid.

Families who own a business or farm must also fill out a Business/Farm Statement form.

Lincoln School assists as many families as possible with financial assistance. However, the School does reserve the right to cancel any financial aid grant if false information has been provided, if a family fails to pay its portion of the tuition, or if the student fails to meet her requirements as stated in the Lincoln School handbook.

Applying for Financial Aid

The first step is to apply for admission to Lincoln School. Only students who have fulfilled all requirements for admission will be considered for financial aid.

The second step is to apply for financial aid. A Parent Financial Statement (PFS) must be filled out and submitted to School and Student Services, sss.nais.org, by February 15.

After submitting the PFS, upload to your SSS account or mail in the following documents to School and Student Services:

1) Most recent 1040 tax returns
2) Current year W2's for all working parents

Mail to: School and Student Services (SSS)
            P.O. Box 449
            Randolph, MA 02368

After submitting the PFS and most recent 1040 and W2's, the financial aid process at Lincoln is complete.  Financial aid decisions will be included in the packets mailed to accepted students in March.
