Nursery -Grade 12 Application Process & Forms
School Visit and Tour
Please telephone the Admission Office, (401) 331-9696 x3157, to schedule an appointment to meet with an admission representative and tour the campus.
Our Lincoln ambassadors, students who have volunteered to represent their school and share their experiences here, are usually available to conduct Middle and Upper School tours for prospective applicants and their families. We look forward to your visit.
The Applicant's School Visit Day
In order to experience life at Lincoln, each student applying for Grades 2-12 spends a full school day with a Lincoln hostess in the appropriate grade, meeting future classmates and participating in class. Nursery through Grade One applicants spend 30 minutes to 3 hours visiting the School. Please call the Admission Office to schedule the school visit.
Application
A completed application may be submitted at any time. You may either apply online or submit a paper application. The Application deadline is February 1. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling admission basis if space is available.
Testing
Applicants for Grades 6-12 are required to take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Registering for the SSAT or ISEE test can be completed online at http://www.ssat.org or http://www.iseetest.org. Information booklets are also available in the Admission Office. Tests are administered on one Saturday morning a month from November through May.
Transcript
An official transcript should be submitted directly to the Admission Office from the current school (and past schools, if necessary). The transcript should cover the last two and one-half years of the students record. A transcript release form can be found on the link below. Please remind schools of the deadline.
Recommendations
Two current teacher recommendations are required for Grades 6 through 12: one from a teacher of English and one from a teacher of Mathematics. One teacher recommendation is required for Nursery through Grade 5. Please see the link below.
Enrollment Fee
Upon notification of acceptance, a non-refundable fee $500, in addition to the annual activity fee, must be received by the Admission Office to confirm enrollment.
