Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grade Physical Education
The Middle School Physical Education program offers the students a balance of team and individual sports skill instruction, intramural games, physical fitness training, dance, and peer leadership opportunities. Typical sports
skill offerings include soccer, field hockey, football, basketball, volleyball,
lacrosse, team handball, badminton, and softball. The units emphasize
skill development, game strategies, positioning and rules. Other
activities include personal fitness challenges, eighth grade introduction to the Fitness Center, yoga, walk/jog, and contemporary or Zumba
dance instruction. Recreational games, team building activities and intramural opportunities
are included throughout the year.
