Academic Support in Lower School

•  Any student who is experiencing difficulty in reading, writing, spelling, or mathematics

•  A student who has been identified with a learning disability or attention issues

• A student can enter the program at any time. She may stay for the semester or the entire school year.

• She is recommended by the Lower School Learning Skills Team (Head of division, Learning Skills Coordinator, and classroom teacher), that develops a plan for the student. The team then meets with the family to present the plan

• Academic Support is given during the school day usually during a class period when the homeroom teacher is working on the same subject

• Classes are given one-on-one or in small groups tailored to meet the student’s needs
