Day of Service

Each year in late May, Lincoln School students, faculty, and staff put down their pens, books, and laptops and spend a day performing community service in and around Providence. The day begins with a gathering in the Music Center for a period of silence and an inspirational message from an invited speaker. Then the entire school makes its way to over 25 sites—some within walking distance of the school, others across town. The school day concludes with another shared event in the Music Center in celebration of the rewarding work done by all. In the evening, Lincoln vocalists and instrumentalists present a musical concert to benefit a local institution.
