Established in 2002, the Lincoln Scholars Program is an endowed need-based scholarship program designed to encourage the most academically gifted girls to attend Lincoln’s Upper School. It is awarded to an incoming ninth grade student. The program is intended to cover a student’s full tuition, if needed, as well as books and other incidental costs directly related to school. There are currently four Lincoln Scholars attending Lincoln’s Upper School. Five Lincoln Scholars have gone on to college, attending Yale, Boston University, Boston College, Skidmore University, and Brown University.
Thanks to the generosity of more than 40 donors, Lincoln completed a special fundraising challenge from Joan and Paul Sorensen P'02 and David and Susan Hibbitt P'85 '88 GP '19 '23 that raised a total of $1.8 million to fully endow the Lincoln Scholars Program. We are grateful to the generous donors who responded to this historic challenge, raising $900,000 in matching funds to fulfill the Sorensen/Hibbitt Challenge to endow this remarkable scholarship program.
We know that a Lincoln education is a life-changing experience. As a donor to our scholarship program, you will open up opportunities for this generation of Lincoln students that will chage her life and help build a better world.
