Lincoln School eNewsletter

Dear Lincoln Families,

Welcome back to Lincoln for another school year filled with old and new friends, teachers, places and traditions! A beautiful Wednesday set the stage for our first day as we welcomed 82 girls (and a few Early Childhood boys) new to Lincoln School. In just a few short days, we are well into the swing of things. The campus is alive with student council meetings, games and practices, "Monday Meanderings," and the creation of world-traveling sock puppets.

As you know, we gather every Friday for silent reflection in each of our divisions and in September, we inaugurate our year together with an all-school Silent Meeting. I want to remind you that you are always welcome to our Friday Silent Meetings but especially want to extend an invitation to all parents to join us for our all-school Silent Meeting on Friday, September 19th at 8:45. We will gather on the Dwight House lawn (rain location: Boss McLoughlin Gym) to reflect in silence, to hear a few words about the meaning and practice of Silent Meeting, and to celebrate the harvest and dedication of our edible schoolyard garden.

Below are a few photos of the garden that was constructed and planted last May by Lincoln students, faculty and parents. I hope to see many of you on the 19th!

Warmly,

Julia
