Dear Friends,

It was wonderful to see so many of you back at Lincoln for Alumnae and Reunion Weekend!   The beautiful weather allowed the nearly 200 alumnae celebrating reunions to enjoy a weekend full of activity.

Among those commemorating a reunion was Carolyn Cumming ’32, who celebrated her 80^th reunion. This is a remarkable milestone and we were honored to recognize Carolyn at the Alumnae Awards luncheon. I celebrated my 40^th Reunion this year and was delighted to have so many of my classmates there to celebrate the occasion.

This month’s Alumnae E-news will highlight the events from Alumnae Weekend. We also shared selected quotes from the speeches of our six Alumnae Award Recipients. This year, we honored a remarkable group of women from multiple generations and working in a range of leadership roles. It was extraordinary to hear them all reference their experiences and time at Lincoln and how Lincoln contributed to their success. It truly made me proud to be a Lincoln alumna.

If you did not have a chance to join us this year, please save the date for next year’s Alumnae & Reunion Weekend which will he held October 18-October 19, 2013. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you at Lincoln or at an upcoming Alumnae event soon.

Alumnae & Reunion Weekend 2012

Nearly 200 alumnae celebrating reunions celebrating reunions ending in 2's and 7's returned to Lincoln for Alumnae & Reunion Weekend. They visited classes, attended special Memorial Silent meeting, celebrated six outstanding alumnae at the 2012 Alumnae Awards Luncheon, and enjoyed a festive cocktail party at Dwight House. Last spring when Stefanie, her husband, Scott, and their three-year-old son, Zachary, visited Florida my three-year-old twins and I met them for a beach day. While Scott played with the boys, Stefanie and I had the chance to catch up. She told me about how working as President of Gennaro, Inc., her family’s costume jewelry company was more stressful than usual because of a demanding travel schedule.
