Honor a Teacher with a Gift to the Annual Fund "Barbara Stanhope met with me after school to teach me how to write with close attention to Wharton and James. What I learned from her allowed me to move from a C in class to Honors English almost overnight. Her devotion to literature was evident in each class. She also inspired me to write and publish poetry. My M.A./Ph.D work in English was done at Oxford and Princeton. I now chair a college English Department and still recall her dedication and her rigor. Thank you Miss Stanhope." Linda Shires '68
This year's Annual Fund theme is "A Year of Teaching Excellence" and the holiday season is a wonderful time to acknowledge those teachers, like Miss Stanhope, who continue to make a difference in our lives. Did you know you can make a gift to the Annual Fund in honor or in memory of a teacher? The Annual Fund directly supports our faculty and their commitment to teaching excellence.
Your gift will serve as a tribute to the care, attention, and kindness Lincoln teachers have shared over the years and continue to share. To give online and help us reach our goal of $700,000 this year, please click here.
