Honor a Teacher with a Gift to the Annual Fund

"Barbara Stanhope met with me after school to teach me how to write with close attention to Wharton and James. What I learned from her allowed me to move from a C in class to Honors English almost overnight. Her devotion to literature was evident in each class. She also inspired me to write and publish poetry. My M.A./Ph.D work in English was done at Oxford and Princeton. I now chair a college English Department and still recall her dedication and her rigor. Thank you Miss Stanhope."
Linda Shires '68

This year's Annual Fund theme is "A Year of Teaching Excellence" and the holiday season is a wonderful time to acknowledge those teachers, like Miss Stanhope, who continue to make a difference in our lives. Did you know you can make a gift to the Annual Fund in honor or in memory of a teacher? The Annual Fund directly supports our faculty and their commitment to teaching excellence.

Your gift will serve as a tribute to the care, attention, and kindness Lincoln teachers have shared over the years and continue to share. To give online and help us reach our goal of $700,000 this year, please click here.

Delivering Holiday Cheer

Upper School students packaged holiday breads that will be delivered to local alumnae this week by Lincoln faculty and staff members. This is a long-standing Lincoln School tradition, created to spread holiday cheer and reconnect with Lincoln alumnae.

Stand Up Lincoln

In an initiative launched in the spirit of 2012-2013 Center of Peace, Equity and Justice through Service theme—The Power of One—we are asking for a nomination of a student, daughter, teacher, colleague or alumna. Our Lincoln community is filled with people who give of themselves both in and out of school. We want to know about significant accomplishments so that we can recognize these achievements. This year's Light Up Lincoln will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Hope Club in Providence. Planning is well underway for what is sure to be a very special event with tributes to our outgoing Head of School, Julia Russell Eells. In light of her departure the theme for the night will be "Julia's Favorite Things", with many special moments planned throughout the evening. It is an event not to be missed!

Auction items are needed! We are working to secure new and exciting items for our live and silent auctions and are asking for help from the Lincoln community. (A Mediterranean cruise has already been confirmed!) Read More...
