Middle and Upper School Admission: Grades 6–12

Thank you for your interest in applying to Lincoln School. The Admission Committee carefully considers a candidate’s academic achievements, standardized test scores, extra­curricular interests and talents, citizenship, and future potential.

The Application Deadline for the first round of admission decisions is February 15, 2017. After this date, Lincoln will consider applications through a rolling admissions process if space remains available.

1. Online Inquiry

The completion of the online inquiry starts the admission process. Upon submission of this inquiry, you will receive an email that provides secure access to Lincoln’s online Admission Portal.

2. Application for Admission

Once you have access to the Admission Portal, families can view and complete the various sections of the Admission application, as well as track the status of your student’s application. There is a non-refundable $50 fee for this application.

3. Schedule a Student Visit Day and Parent Tour

Every applicant to Lincoln School is required to spend a day visiting classes with student hosts, where she will have the opportunity to meet future classmates and participate in class.Parents are also invited to tour the campus and talk with an admission representative. Transcript Release Form

Parent/guardians of applicants to Grades 6-12 must sign and submit to the applicant's current school a Transcript Release Form. This official school transcript should be sent directly from the child's current school to Lincoln School via email, fax, or mail. 2 1/2 years of information should be provided.

Teacher Recommendation

Two teacher recommendations are required for students applying to Grades 6-12: one from the current English teacher and one from the current Mathematics teacher. Additional letters of recommendation from individuals who know the applicant personally (coach, religious leader, performing arts instructor, etc.) may also be submitted, however are not required.

Standardized Testing

Test scores from either the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test, or the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam, are required. International applicants are required to complete the TOEFL test.
